Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Frontbits LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Shams Free Zone, United Arab Emirates, and licensed by Sharjah Media City (Shams), which runs Sembis and is “we” and “us” in these terms. By creating an account or using Sembis, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Sembis.

• You must be 16 or older to use Sembis.
• Give a real email address, and keep your password to yourself.
• You’re responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has got into it, change your password, which signs out every other session, and tell us at support@sembis.com.
• One person, one account. Don’t create extra accounts to get more free credits.

Sembis helps you write a resume and export it as a PDF. It includes AI features that suggest rewrites of your bullet points, tailor your resume to a job description, review it, and read resumes you import. On Pro, it also drafts and rewrites cover letters.

We improve Sembis over time, which can mean changing or adding features. If we remove or reduce something that Pro includes, we’ll tell Pro subscribers in advance, and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of the period you’ve paid for.

• The free plan includes 1 resume and 10 AI credits a month. Pro includes unlimited resumes and 100 AI credits a month. Every account can import up to 3 files a month. Unused credits and imports don’t carry over.
• Pro is a subscription, paid in advance through Stripe, that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price is shown before you pay.
• You can cancel any time from the billing portal in Settings, with no fee. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and then move to the free plan with your resumes intact. Because you keep Pro until then, that period isn’t refunded.
• If you delete your account while on Pro, the subscription ends at once. Because you chose to end it early, the rest of that period isn’t refunded.
• You’re entitled to a refund, in full or for the unused part of your period, if we don’t provide Pro as described in these terms, and in any other case where the law gives you one. Write to support@sembis.com to ask for it.
• If we change the price of Pro, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies from your next renewal after that, and you can cancel before then without paying it.

Your resumes and everything you upload or paste into Sembis stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and display that content, and to send it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature, only as needed to provide Sembis to you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Only upload content you have the right to use. You’re responsible for making sure your resume is true.

AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. Sembis is designed not to invent facts, but it can’t guarantee that, so read every suggestion before you use it, and only apply what’s true. You’re responsible for the resume you send. We don’t promise any result from using Sembis, such as an interview, a job, or a particular score in an applicant tracking system.

The LinkedIn import reads a PDF that you save from your own profile with LinkedIn’s “Save to PDF”. Sembis never connects to LinkedIn itself. Using LinkedIn is subject to LinkedIn’s own terms.

• Break the law, or use Sembis to harm or deceive others.
• Upload other people’s personal information without their permission.
• Try to get around plan limits, test or break our security, or disrupt Sembis for others.
• Copy, resell or reverse engineer Sembis, or access it with automated tools other than ordinary web browsing.

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or close an account only if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. Unless the law or a security risk prevents it, we’ll tell you why first and give you time to download your resumes.
• If we ever stop offering Sembis, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance and refund the unused part of any period you’ve paid for.

We work to keep Sembis available and your content safe. Sembis can occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance, and we can’t promise it will always be free of errors, so keep your own copies of anything important, such as your exported PDFs.

We’re responsible, as the law provides, for losses you suffer because we broke these terms or didn’t take reasonable care. We aren’t responsible for losses that nobody could have foreseen, or for decisions others make about you based on your resume. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We’ll post the new version here with its date. If a change affects you significantly, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and for Pro subscribers it applies from the next renewal after that. If you don’t agree with a change, you can cancel or delete your account before it applies, without any penalty.

The laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah, govern these terms, and the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah handle any dispute. This doesn’t take away any right you have under the law where you live, including to bring a claim there.
